Jenna and Ruaidhri’s Summer Tipi Wedding at The Grange Belluton

This stunning wedding I photographed was at The Grange Belluton which is a beautiful Georgian bath stone country house set in the most amazing gardens with a picturesque backdrop of the Chew Valley just outside of Bristol. The outdoor wedding ceremony took place in front of a huge tipi in the gardens at the front of the elegant country house. Jenna and Rhu had over 200 guests at their wedding and the huge Tipi they had set up and beautiful decorated for the meal and reception easily accommodated the guests. It had a large dancefloor, bar area and stage for a band.

In the morning, before we headed off to the Grange Belluton, busy bridal preparations were taking place at a friends house close to the venue. With the lovely Bride, Mother of the bride, 6 bridesmaids and 2 flowergirls to get pampered with hair and makeup they had a strict plan set in place and amazing team at the ready. It was a really relaxed morning and with a huge windows in the summer room letting the light flood in it was a wedding photographers dream! The boys were all getting ready at Jenna and Ruaidhri’s home not too far away the rattler beers were cracked open and there was the usual groomsman struggle of ironing shirts and attempting to tie bow ties multiple times. The grooms father arrived and was looking dapper in full traditional Scottish dress before the boys all headed to Belluton. As the guests started to arrive the weather was looking lovely and there were some traditional garden games set up and drinks flowing.

Just as the Bride was about to leave for the ceremony we had a disastrous nosebleed all down a Flowergirl’s dress which was not in the plan! An emergency strip and clean took place and dress back on with no evidence of the mishap! Jenna started to look a little nervous but as soon as she got out of the car at Belluton her big beautiful smile came back and her face lit up at the thought of seeing her soulmate soon. All the girls were paired up with the groomsmen to walk down the aisle in true American Wedding style. The ceremony was full of laughter and emotion and Ruaidhri kept flashing a cheeky smile to his stunning new wife. It was clear to see their love for each other.

The weather started to change a little with a few short light showers but we managed to get enough dry time to fit in some formal group shots in the stunning garden by the rustic greenhouse and then some bride and groom relaxed portraits in the fields and around the flowers.

The speeches were amazing, the whole room were laughing, crying and singing and these were closely followed by some awesome dancefloor moves, particularly the grooms mum who was amazing! she kicked her shoes off and really got down on that dancefloor!

It was a pleasure to work with some of the best suppliers in the business on this wedding. The 4 tier wedding cake was designed and baked by Rosie Shaw Cake Company and the bouquets, ceremony flowers and stunning table decorations were designed and put together by the very lovely Anna at Indigo Yard Floral. Thanks so so much to my lovely friend Lucy Greenhill for all her help on the day second shooting.
