Dean and Laura’s Wedding
Dean and Laura contacted me after they met me at a wedding fayre last year and then after meeting up to chat about their wedding at the Wild Boar in Windermere I was very excited! I’d not photographed a wedding at The Wild Boar before so I had a look on the internet and reaslied it was going to be an amazing venue to photograph at! There are acres of land at the back of the venue and they have a jeep that would take us to a tarn. It was the perfect location for bride and groom portraits.
The morning of the wedding I set off to the Lake District nice and early and the skies were clearing, I knew it was going to be a perfect day. August had been one of the wettest I’ve known and we were due a dry weekend!
The girls were up nice and early for breakfast and styling was underway very early. Dean was feeling a little nervous but luckily had his best woman to keep him calm (and provide tequila shots!) The bedrooms were just gorgeous and I even got a sneaky peek into the amazing bridal suite where Laura and Dean would be staying on their first night as a married couple! The entire venue was just lovely and the staff were amazing… so much so that I have since met with Emma the wedding coordinator at The Wild Boar to discuss my own wedding there!
The ceremony was held at a beautiful little Church down the road and the amazing views of the Lake District hills could be seen. The sun was shining and everybody was smiley and happy. We then travelled in style (in Deans new Range Rover Sport) 😉 back to The Wild Boar for some more drinks and canapés followed by a VERY bumpy ride in a jeep off road to the nearby tarn for some bride and groom alone time and of course some photos!
The speeches left the room with not one dry eye and then after the wedding breakfast the party got quickly started… possibly THE BEST dance floor photography I’ve ever captured at a wedding… there were some serious moves going on.. I’ve left the embarrassing ones out (bridesmaids) ha ha.
So… Laura and Dean.. Mr and Mrs Appleton… thank you so so much for asking me to be your wedding photographer. I had an amazing day and you really are a lovely, lovely pair with hearts of gold. You love for each other shows so much when I look through your photos… I’d also like to thank all your lovely guests for being so lovely and making me feel part of the day J (Alice I will be at bootcamp soon)
For now, here are some of the highlights of the truly amazing day!!…. Many more pictures to come!
