Gemma and Paul’s Wedding
Gemma and Paul booked me almost 2 years ago for their wedding at The Grange on The Wirral. I’d photographed some of their friend’s weddings in the past couple of years. A few days before the wedding I gave Gemma a quick call to check over final details and she informed me she had some bad news the venue had ceased trading! Luckily the Grange were still going ahead with Gemma and Paul’s wedding! Gemma was extremely calm…. I’d go as far to say she is the most chilled out bride Ive ever met!
So on the Saturday of the wedding I hopped in my car and headed across to Liverpool with very grey skies above me… We knew it was going to be rain.. we just didn’t realise how heavy the rain was going to be and the heavens opened just as Gemma was about to get into the wedding car…. she still smiled, nothing was going to stop her enjoying the best day of her life 🙂
The rain eventually stopped and the afternoon turned out to be glorious sunshine… perfect for golden hour photography! It was every wedding photographers dream, perfect setting and the low sun bursting through the trees! Paul is not to keen on the camera but Gemma worked it! she was fab!
With a room full of rugby boys the drinks were flowing and the drinking games were well underway by about 5pm…. It was set to be a full on party with the bar on until 1am… I dread to think of the coach journey back home at 1.30am… Anyhow, here are some sneak peeks and highlights of the day.. Ive left out the embarrassing evening ones.. I will let Gemma and Paul embarrass you all with those when they get the full set 😉
