Adam and Rebecca’s Summer Wedding at Styal Lodge

Styal Lodge Wedding Photography: Adam & Rebecca’s Summer Wedding

Adam and Rebecca chose a beautiful summer wedding at Styal Lodge, and what a wonderful day it was – despite classic British weather antics!

As my clients know, I absolutely love being a Cheshire wedding photographer and capturing the unique moments of every couple’s big day! The choice of wedding venue is also huge, so when Adam and Rebecca told me they were hosting their wedding at Styal Lodge – with its beautiful location, family-run vibe and wooden-panelled interiors – I knew it would be perfect.

Cheshire wedding photography… and British weather

When you book a summer wedding in July, you assume that the weather will be hot, sunny and completely flawless… but this is the UK! It rained most of the day… until the end of the ceremony when it magically stopped! The bride and groom were delighted and we got the all-important confetti shot with all of its colour and energy. Even the weather couldn’t take the shine off this Styal Lodge wedding!

Pro-tip for Summer Wedding Photography:

When you’re booking summer wedding photography, don’t worry about rain. Funnily enough, bright midday summer sunshine doesn’t always create the best photography conditions because of long shadows (unless it’s the glorious ‘golden hour’, which I always take advantage of during a wedding photography booking.)

But part of my job involves working around all weather conditions and last-minute challenges – it’s part and parcel of being a Manchester wedding photographer! Even the greyest days can result in beautiful, vibrant photographs with ease, especially once I’ve applied professional editing techniques to capture the rich colour, beauty and vibrancy you remember from the day itself.

A beautiful wedding

This wedding was so much fun, with fluffy alpacas, superb entertainment and even a golf buggy ride to the lake. The seasonal flowers from Smokebush Floral really captured the colour and fresh feel of the perfect summer wedding, and a stunning tiered wedding cake was made by the bride’s mum on the morning of the wedding and assembled in situ! I cannot imagine the pressure, but the finished results looked incredible.

Look how beautiful the bride was too! It was so much fun to capture the details of her stunning dress from Dotty Bridal and the perfect bridal look, created by Bridal Hair and Makeup of Cheshire.

You can really get a sense of how much fun everyone had from the images, and see how much laughter there was all day, especially as that fizz started flowing!

The Styal Lodge Wedding Photography Album

Every moment of this joyous, love-filled day was captured perfectly, with vibrant colour, superb contrast and real personality. I look to capture every couple’s unique story when I take wedding photographs, so that the finished album brings back each memory, whilst providing loads of opportunities for standalone prints, thank-you gifts and displays. Adam and Rebecca were delighted with the results and I felt so honoured to play a part in their big day! I honestly feel like I have the best job in the world capturing all these amazing moments for people to treasure!
