Helen and Jack’s Owen House Barn Wedding

Helen and Jack chose Owen House Barn for their summer wedding which is a unique venue located in Mobberley in the heart of the Cheshire countryside.

I’ve been wanting to photograph a wedding at Owen House Barn for ages. I love a barn wedding at the best of times and there are loads of amazing Cheshire wedding barns but this one is extra special! An exclusive use Manchester wedding venue with on site accommodation, acres of land and some really cool indoor areas for some creative photos including a shooting gallery with lots of interesting backdrops including star cloths, rustic doors, plants and light and dark wooden panelling and a huge mirror ball.

Bridal Prep in the Beauty Shed

Helen and her bridesmaids got ready in the spacious Beauty Shed at Owen House Barn with Salon style chairs and huge mirrors and plenty of space for relaxing and drinking prosecco which is of course what I fully expect bridesmaids to be doing on a wedding morning.

Jack and the boys were busy getting ready (drinking beer) in the Baa-BER shed which had plenty to keep the boys entertained including Table football and a classy belmont barber chair. The banter was high, the drinks were following and the sun was shining as the wedding guests started to arrive.

I could sense the nerves from our dapper groom as he waited for his bride to be in the wedding barn. The rustic fairy lit room has plenty of space for a large wedding and is right next to the bridal prep room and wedding breakfast barn so you don’t need to worry about waling too far in your wedding shoes!

Helen looked absolutely stunning as she walked down the aisle with her mum and there were a few tears (happy ones!) from our nervous groom!

Summer drinks reception at Owen House Wedding Barn

The drinks were flowing outside after the wedding ceremony and there were lots of strawberry daiquiris floating around giving me flashbacks from my summer holidays! Unfortunately I was driving so I couldn’t partake but, my days they looked good! Ace wedding reception drink choice guys! 10/10!

The Wedding Breakfast at Owen House Wedding Barn

I absolutely love this room. It’s huge. With a bar in the same room (which makes a big difference trust me, it keeps all your guests in one place) and a massive area for dancing later on. The top table set up reminded me a little bit of a wedding I photographed at Stock Farm which is another amazing barn wedding venue in Cheshire not far at all from Owen House Barn. The bride and groom made their entrance as newly weds and I knew from there on it was going to be a wild wedding party! The wedding speeches actually had me howling. The best man happened to be an actor so that was like a full on stand up comedy sketch. The grooms speech is traditionally short and just a few thank-yous but Jack had everybody howling too, and of course had some very sweet words to say about his wife.

I can’t even begin to tell you how awesome the party was so I will just let you judge for yourself from these few select pictures! There was a LOT of hardcore dancing and I imagine a few sore heads the next morning!
