Rachel and Jordan’s Autumn Wedding at Smokies Best Western in Oldham

I photographed Rachel and Jordan’s wedding at St Mary’s with St Patrick’s R.C Church followed bu their reception at Smokies Oldham back in the Autumn last year. Rachel spent the morning with her bridesmaids and parents at their family home. The brides brother and family had flown over from New Zealand for the Wedding so it was lovely to see all the emotions of the whole family reunited. With a Bride, 6 Bridesmaids, parents, page boy and a flowergirl getting ready there certainly was a lot to capture. Meanwhile a nervous groom with his groomsmen had the job of getting to church on time and welcoming all the guests arriving. We were lucky enough to get a dry day and managed to get a few portraits after the church at Daisy Nook Country Park just a walk away from Smokies Best Western Hotel.

The room at Smokies is huge and there was plenty of room for the 200 or so guests that Rachel and Jordan had at their wedding. The room was beautifully decorated with a natural and rustic Autumnal theme. Despite feeling super nervous Jordan nailed his grooms speech and Rachel’s dad did an unforgettable speech that had everybody laughing and crying particularly Rachel’s mum who kept a tightly clenched tissue in hand throughout the speeches.

The evening wedding reception party kicked off with an amazing chocolate fountain display followed by lots of dancing and drinking late into the evening.

Here are some of the highlights of Rachel and Jordans’s Smokies Oldham Wedding. If you are planning a wedding and would like more information on my prices and package then please contact me here.
