Gabi and Santi’s Summer Wedding in London

This intimate wedding in London was small but was one of the wildest wedding parties I have photographed! Gabi and Santi had guests fly over from Argentina to celebrate their wedding at George Meehan House in London. Whilst the guests made their way across London to Boulestin Restaurant in St James’ we stopped off at Hampstead Heath for some natural bride and groom photographs in the beautiful greenery on the Heath.

On the late morning of the wedding I made my way to Gabi and Santi’s apartment near Wood Green in London. Here I captured the relaxed atmosphere of Gabi with her Mum and Sisters. As we made our way to the wedding registry office Gabi said that she was going against wedding traditions and was to meet Santi for a ‘first look’. They spent a few moments together before heading into the ceremony and walking down the aisle together. George Meehan House is a lovely light and airy wedding venue, after the ceremony we headed outside for confetti and formal group photographs. A White cab had been arranged to pick up the newlyweds and the guests hopped on a coach off to Boulestin restaurant where they enjoyed beers and cocktails whilst they waited for the new Mrs and Mrs to arrive. Myself and the videographer took the opportunity to stop off at Hampstead Heath with the bride and groom for 20 minutes so they could enjoy some time together as we captured some relaxed documentary photographs of them both.

When we arrived at Boulestin the guests were all waiting in the stunning courtyard at the back which can be accessed by a lovely alleyway. What I absolutely loved about this wedding is that everybody was so full of energy and smiles. There 28 guests and I’ve never captured so much hugging, laughing and dancing at a wedding! The couple booked me for my 12 hour package so I could photograph late into the evening…and what a party it was! It was around 1am when I finally packed up my camera gear and headed back to my car for the long drive back to Manchester!
