Basically it involves getting outdoors, relaxing and having some fun as a family while I work around you to take beautiful images in my trademark reportage photography style.

You choose the venue, which can be anywhere special to you, or even your back garden. If you’re not sure where to pick, just ask me for advice as I’ve done outdoor family photoshoots in Cheshire, Manchester, Lancashire, Liverpool and basically across the North West. There are so many beautiful spots to choose from whether you love parks, water, or even more urban environments. It’s a lot of fun!

Beyond the location, I simply suggest to my clients that they dress for the environment and to feel comfortable (best to leave the six-inch heels at home for these shoots!), and that they think about colours and any coordination they like. 

Neutral colours work best against an outdoor environment, and comfortable clothing and footwear translates into lovely relaxed expressions and plenty of natural, flowing movement. 

With small children it can also help to have some props such as a bubbles or a favourite teddy. If you have a pet dog, these furry family members can also provide tons of fun and personality for the shoot, and they inevitably get everyone moving and laughing!

I offer two options as follows:

Manchester Minishoot Family Session

Pick from the Manchester Minishoot Family Session, which I offer for 30-40 minutes at a location of your choice for groups of up to six. You’ll get 40 or more full-resolution and edited digital images afterwards.

Full Manchester Outdoor Family Photoshoot Session

For the full family photoshoot option, I spend up to two hours and can accommodate groups or families of up to 12 people. You’ll get a digital album of at least 80 full-resolution images. 

All of the images are sent to you via a secure online gallery which is password-protected but ready to share, print or save as you wish.

Of course! You can choose whoever you want for your session. I’m completely flexible, within the two categories of photoshoot detailed above.
